Vikings Press Conference

The Minnesota Vikings introduced there new coach Leslie Frazier this past week and a move was needed as this need was going no where. GM Mike Taninnboom said,"This team needed a new direction and we felt hiring Leslie was the right move." Vikings have the talent to be a solid team. If you look on paper, you proly think there offense might be tops in the league. Thats not the case, there QB jordan gibson has really struggled. They have 3 great WR's in Roddy white, Dez and Harvin not to forget the great Antonio Gates. This offense should be able to run smoothly but it hasnt. Gm Mike really wanted to address this as he signed leslie Frazier.

In there first gm with Leslie, they were facing of vs the division leading GB packers and most will say the Packers will Cruise through this match. The Vikings had sum fight, they had heart, they hit hard.....This was not happening before leslie took over. Leslie is putting a new mentality in this locker room. The Vikings only allowed 38 yrds passing in the first half, this team has one of the worst pass defense in the lg. Vikings were up 13-3 going into the 2nd half. Vikings run game also was balling out. Rodman Brooks was running to hit other people. The offense was getting back to where they should have been all along. Vikings pulled a shocker vs the div leading packers as they ran all over them with 227yrds rushing. They won in blow out fashion 41-10. There are still questions to be answered about there passing game.

COACH L: Good Morning guys, how you been. Let me just update you guys on some injuries. Our CB manning will be out for 8 weeks so we will surely miss his speed and smart coverage on the field. Thats why we got back ups to step up in moments like this. I'll be open to answer any questions

Question1: This is Jay Ron from Vikings Sports Line, My only question is how did you guys win by such a big margin?

Answer1: Well we prepared really well over the week. I went over film with lots of details with the guys and make sure they understood everything. I also wanted them to forget the stats, the record and the first 7 weeks. They had to get there minds refreshed because lots had happen in the locker room. We studied there defenses and saw where they had holes and discomfort so we planned a real real run heavy game as we knew coverages will be breaking down. Now this wasnt all on us as there team made bad mistakes that they would never make so we got some lucky breaks. In order to win games you also need those lucky breaks in a game, so yeah thats how the score was so one sided.

Question2: Congrats on the first win, Im Cliff Elly form Vikings Daily buzz, Despite the big win the passing game was so one sided and it looked so basic and predictable, why was that

Answer2: Like i said we prepared a real real real run heavy game so you shouldnt have expected much out of our passing game. But we really need to work on our passing game. Because teams with stiff defenses will make us pass the ball so we gotta get ready. As most of you knew Jordan Gibson only had 6 completed and i think 4 or 5 of them were slants so we gotta work more on that. I think in about 15min me and qb coach Daunte Culpepper will work with the WR and QB. So i thing that will not be much of a issue heading into next week hopefully.

Question3: This is Leon Adamshaw from the Vikings Unite, You guys were up big and decided to score once again and show lacck of sportsmanship, why?

Answer3: I really want to say sorry to the Packer team, organization and everyone in packer nation, this was suppose to be a 34-10 win but i felt that it was 3rd down and we should try to get 1st down by passing the ball but i looked at the film and they were in a full on blitz and Gibson threw to harvin for 60yrds to the house. I think Percy should have dived or not scored that TD but he had all green so he wanted to score a TD and it was a div rival so i couldnt blame him. We dont want to be known for running up scores or unsportsmanlike. Im talk to the guys about this issue during the week we prepare for our next week match vs the eagles.
