XFN's salary cap feature is finally released and is ready for us to use. The only problem is that they decided to hold back the Free Agent bidding feature for another week or so. We're not going to keep Free Agency closed any longer. So this is how it's going to work until the real deal gets released. Each team will be allowed to sign one and only one free agent per in game week. It will be first come first served. Let's all be gentlemen here okay guys. I'm not going to be actively monitoring who signs what and how many, but if I do catch anyone signing multiple free agents in one week that person will earn themselves a strike.
Now that we have salaries back, there is some business to attend to. The following teams are over the cap and need to get themselves under asap. Raiders, Saints and Texans need to release some players in order to get under. Texans are a cpu team and I'll take care of them, but Gord and Red, you guys need to get your teams under. Obviously salaries now have to be taken into consideration when trades are being proposed. Also, the Bills and Packers are over the roster cap of 55 players. You guys need to get on XFN and release a few players. As always, all of our roster transactions must take place on XFN.
Some of you may have noticed a sudden influx of owners to the point that we're 31 of 32 teams filled, even though the scrolling announcement says that 3 teams are open. What has happened is that certain select owners have simply used their 2nd accounts to occupy these spots. The reason being is so that we can avoid any more mix ups with owners playing against cpu teams. The playoff race is heating up and with owners jostling to get in we have to make sure that the race itself is fair.
I want to stress to all owners the importance of game scheduling. This is one of the most important aspects of an Online Franchise. It can and will make or break a league. We all need to do our best to schedule early and reply to our opponent's topics or posts as soon as we possibly can. These are the game scheduling rules,
1. If an owner fails to schedule their game three times in a row and the game is simmed or played by the CPU. That owner will be removed.
2. If an owner fails to schedule their games and has it simmed or played by the CPU a total of seven times in a season that owner stands a good chance of being removed from the League.
3. If a owner can not play for any reason, he/she must contact either the Commissioner or a game scheduling moderator. The owner must also post in the CPU Sub In Thread and leave the league for the period of time to allow the other players to play the CPU.
4. If a player does not respond to your messages, please contact a the game scheduling moderators and we will help you get your game played.
I'd like to thank all the owners who have taken the time to upload their game highlights for the weekly highlight pack. The feature has been a big hit and I'd like to say thank you and keep it up guys. The search for the top ten plays of the year is ongoing and will be revealed at season's end. When saving and uploading highlights, please use the "pressbox wide" camera angle. Also please make a post in the Uploaded Highlights forum with the week and your PSN ID so that I know that they're there.
At present the Bears, Jags and Texans are our open teams. Any owners with games against these teams must make a new topic in the CPU Sub In Forum.
Hope I didn't forget anything.
