Week 3 Update USSML

Would have been one of our better week with the exception of two games. The Green Bay owner made several attempts to play our new Chicago owner and received no response. I know the game was ultimately played but I don't know if there was any explanation given. Everyone has stuff come up. Even if you don't have a good excuse, at least let your opponent know that you can't play. Don't let someone hang around and wait for you.

We had one sim, that being Colts and Ravens. Colts posted that he would be on vacation. This one is what it is.

Another note on scheduling everyone...it's pretty counter productive to post "when is good for you?" unless you are actually free 24-7. Try to at least post a time you can play. Another thing that slows people up is that many of you rely on texting for scheduling. A few people have either chosen not to give out their phone number for personal reasons or because they live in Canada which would hit them with international fees.

There is a pretty cool application called google voice which allows you to create an alternative phone number. This application works on all smart phones to my knowledge and allows FREE texting between the US and Canada. You can also access those text messages from the computer and send them as well. If anyone is interested in this feature, PM me and I'll walk you through it. I use it for work and it acts as an entirely seperate business line. It's one of the best apps out there.

Other than that not much to report. Get your games in and check for updates.

The thing with Google Voice is that you need to have a data plan as the text messages are sent via the internet. It works with most Smartphones (Unless you have an old one, it should work).

Would regular wifi work or do you absolutely need a data plan?

That depends on the phone really, I would assume that WiFi would work.

It also works for Voicemail, you have to set your Voicemail to forward to your Google Voice account, then you can get alerts on a computer if you have a voicemail and check it out there. Im not sure exactly how that is or if you would like it, I don't use Google voice myself, but it could be convenient for you.

Yeah Hittched it's great man. Yeah Wifi would work as long as you have the app on your phone or an internet capable phone.
