| First off the MVP Race
The leading candidates are Jamal Charles RB- KC - Charles is the runaway leader right now based on his overwhelming stats, the only knock on Charles is that KC might not win the division and some voters dont like a 2nd place team to take away the MVP Chris Johnson RB- PHI- He is right behind Charles is rushing. He leads Philly and if the Eagles end up winning there division and KC does not, then it could be close Jason Campbell QB- OAK- His numbers are not eye popping, but passing is down all over the USSML and Campbell is near the top in TDs and Yards while leading a team currently in 1st place in the AFC Cam Newton QB- CAR - See Jason Campbell, Newton leads the #1 seed in the NFC. He leads the league in QB Rating and yards per pass, depending on how things shake out, Newton could get in the mix
2nd tier sleepers, should the leading candidates fall off or one of these guys explode, they could get in the mix
DeAngelo Williams- RB- CAR- His yards are way behind the leaders, but his team record and his TDs put him in the mix Jahvid Best- RB- SF- His stats are behind the leaders, but he is everything to this SF offense and their turnaround Eric Berry- S- KC- Leads the league in INTs, a sleeper if his numbers continue to pile up Chemdi Ndukwe- S- DAL- Has 8 picks, 1 behind Berry, and Dallas' success is all based on the defense
THE NFC PLAYOFF PICTURE
There is a strong chance that at least 1 team in the NFC will miss the playoffs at 11-5. Some teams schedules get really tough down the stretch and alot of head to head matchups will sort it out. The NFC West has come out of nowhere, SF was 1-3 and Seattle was 1-4, now both teams sit at 7-4 and remaining schedules show that a head to head matchup in week 16 could be the difference, with 11-5 maybe not even enough.
THE AFC PLAYOFF PICTURE
The West and now the North should produce 4 of the playoff teams with the South and East trailing. I have seen 1 division winner make the playoffs without a winning record, but 2 in the same season, and in the same conference! Vacant teams, owners on vacation, owners being booted, inconsistent play, and everything else have made these divisions wide open. Who will step up down the stretch?
INJURIES
I havent followed this too closely, but signficant injuries seem to be HB Michael Turner in Atlanta derailing the Falcons season, Ray Lewis in Baltimore, and Michael Huff out for the season could affect the Raiders playoff run. Sam Bradford is also done for the year, affecting the Rams finish and draft positioning.

| The NFC is strong as hell, look at the NFL East, toughest division in NFL and USSML. I do not feel bad that I am in last place, at 6-5 I am basically out of the playoff picture, that is crazy. Makes for very good matchups and fun games. Heres to Next Year! | |

| That was great Oko. I do think Newton should be higher for MVP. Face it, he has a former 2-14 team at 10-1 now. I am biased though haha. | |

| 4th is pretty high ha, but I was not ranking them, just tier 1 and tier2. Newton and Williams are cancelling each other out a little. I wanted to get something in there about Kaepernick ha, but could not find a place. Hes 2nd behind Newton of all starters in YPA and QB Rating. | |

| Huff has been missed since his injury but the backups are stepping it up and playing quality coverage. Jason Campbell thanks you for the honor of being listed. | |

| Nice Report - Depending on Cincy's success the rest of the year - Carlos Dunlap and his 21 sacks with still aprox. 5 games to play. | |

| I did not consider Dunlap for a few reasons. He is now on his 3rd owner, I think you have to have 1 owner, without exceptions, nobody should collect MVP votes for what they did not do. Also the previous owner was accused of nano blitzing and running up sack stats. And thirdly, they did not have a winning record until recently, which I factored in.
In the Newton case, I do not factor in previous season record, madden rosters and talent is not reflective of the real team in most cases.
This is OKO and that is the report | |
