Redskins Scouting Report

Great sim game. I knew coming in that I would have to limit his ground game. He uses a 4 HB committee. And they're all dangerous. The few times that he passed he went to Marshall and having 8 men in the box trying to stop his run he had good success, at least early on in the game.
Defensively he didn't do anything special. I really didn't have to open up my playbook to get yards. Played a mix of man and zone, but more man I would say.
Special teams he uses his rookie HB very effectively. He broke I think 3 kickoffs into open field. Luckily I was able to prevent the touchdowns but he had great field position. Eventually I started kicking it into the corners and that limited his success.
Focus on the run, get him to third and medium to long and make Jimmy Clausen the one he has to depend on to move the ball.

I've played the redskins twice - lost badly once and won once.

Outside of turnovers, the difference in the game was focusing on his run. He will run, run and run some more.

Offense:
Marshall was a his first look but he also has two very capable TE's. He ran some nice passing plays with his backup QB - mostly up the middle. Their offense hinges on the run, just remember that.

Defense:
Initially they couldn't stop the run and then switched to the 4-6 defense in order to combat it. They seem to play very conservative defense and do not blitz - you will be getting a steady dose of zone defenses from them - but will have time to pass the ball.

Special Teams:
I didnt notice anything.

Overall, smart owner who knows how to play and great sim player. Expect a difficult battle.
