The simulated draft on Madden went off without a hitch (thank God) and we are now in the player resigning period. All owners will have 24 hours to resign their pending free agents and prevent them from hitting the Free Agent market.
The real rookie draft will take place tomorrow night at 7pm est. Kharm did a great job in conducting the first round of picks, so I can make those picks for all of us at 7pm est to knock it out quickly. You guys are free to continue on with round two if you want.
After the draft we will have a Free Agent bidding period that will last approximately 24 hours. The reason I say approximately is that XFN updated their system. The admin still has the ability to start the bidding period, the ability to end it, but the end does not actually occur when I click the button. It now ends randomly from 5 to 20 minutes. This way I have no advantage in that I can`t place a last second bid, end it and in so doing guarantee myself the player or players that I bid on. It`s a great system and totally fair. The system will only allow owners to bid what they have in their free space of cap room.
We will kick off season 2 at the conclusion of the Free Agent bidding period. So we`re looking at a Friday night start.
