PostSubject: Re: New England Patriots Blog   New England Patriots Blog - Page 2 Icon_minitimeSun Dec 25, 2011 1:01 am

the New England Patriots came, they saw, and they conquered, CRUSHING the New York Jets to a final score off 56-17. Scoring 35 points in just the first half alone, the New England Patriots offense, led my veteran QB Tom Brady had a Phenomenal game today. QB Tom Brady had a Passer rating of 158 today going 14 for 17 on completions and attempts respectively. He threw for 329 yards for 3 TDs and No INTS. He completed 82% of his passes Averaging 19 yards per pass.

Biggest story today though is the Patriots running game, it finally came ALIVE. Last season the patriots RB's never rushed for more then 100 yards in 1 game. Patriots were agressive in the draft and drafted Rookie RB Nyjee Dyer, and boy did he ever came through for the patriots today. Setting a Patriots Record in rushing yards in 1 game, Rookie RB Nyjee Dyer rushed 17 times for 155 yards and 4 Rushing TD's. Rookie RB averaged 9.1 Yards a carry and longest run of the day was a 69 yard rush that ended with a TD. Veteran Green Ellis took 1 snap today on the 14 yard line that ended up in a TD when the rookie set out to take a breather from the Phenomenal game he had.

Leading in receptions today was no other then Rookie RB Nyjee Dyer with 4 receptions for 85 yards and 1 recieving TD, the rookie got 5 total TD's today. Rookie WR Bayele Tarver led the WR's in receptions and recieving yards with 3 receptions for 107 yards with 1 TD. Bayele Tarver impressed the coaches during OTA's and recieved a spot behind veterans Wes Welker and Chad Ochocinco. Chad Ochocinco got 2 receptions, 1 which was a deep pass from brady that ended up being a TD for 72 yards. He got 77 yards total. Wes Welker was not thrown to the entire game, not seen to much, as the Rookies on the team got most of the attention of the veteran QB today.

Defensively the Patriots secondary still looks pretty shaky still from last season year. However the Defense did have 6 sacks on QB Mark Sanchez today. Shaun Ellis and Jerod Mayo having 2 of those Sacks Each. Pat Chung and Brandon Spikes came out with 1 INT each also today. And the Defense also had 2 Forced Fumbles, 1 of which the Rookie LB Devonte Dickerson could have ran back for a TD, but decided to go out of bounds just before reaching the endzone so he didn't run up the score on an already won game against the Jets, rookie showing true sportsmanship abilitys there lady's and gentleman. FF's were made by veteran Vince Wilford and Pat Chung. Defensively Patriots only gave up a total of 40 yards rushing to the Jets, Frank Gore, only having 23 yards for today.

Coach: Great win today, always a great way to start a new season, with a win. This is just the beginning, we plan to keep winning and keep moving forward. No questions for today guys, my players and i need a good day's. Next comes the Jaguars, look forward to play a really good team.

Coach Ares has made some trades around the league today, sending LB Jerod Mayo to New York to the Giants and getting in return the 1 year man Von Miller, who was originally drafted to the Broncos then traded his rookie season, and now coming to New England who had a top 5 ranked defense. Patriots lose a phenomenal player in Jerod Mayo but they do acquire Von Miller who Coach Ares is real excited to have. Patriots also acquire J. Brewer, a Tackle with a lot of potential to become a starter some day.

Coach had this to say about the trade
"Losing a great player today in Mayo, i wish him the very best in his carrier, except when he's playing us(chuckles). in all serious though, im gonna miss the guy. However, i am very excited in having Von on our team, he brings something to the team that ive been searching for in a player in his position, and i cant wait to unleash him onto a team."

Coach Ares also made another blockbuster trade sending another veteran defensive player from his team, and a lot of the fans where really upset by this move. They send Veteran DT, Vince Wilfork to division rivals, the Miami Dolphins. This move came in before the trade with the Giants, and people where just stunned at the trade.

Coach
"Listen, this was not an easy decision for me, Vince is a very close friend of mine, always has, always will. Hes a Phenomenal player and will one day leave the league and going into the record books as one of the very best. I wish him the best. This was a decision that came after witnessing my secondary struggle against the Jets Passing game. Yes we won that game, but i didn't like what i saw with my secondary, especially at the safety position. I wanted to come into the draft and draft a young player that goes by the name of Jonny Kohlhause. Unfortunately we werent able to get him. I saw an opportunity to trade for him from our division rivals and i took it. Fortunately trading Wilfork wont leave a big hole in our D-Line, ill be getting Tommie Harris from the fins also in this trade, Tommie Harris is a very welcomed addition to the team, and with our rookie Brendon Myers who we drafted in the 2nd round, we should still be great on the D-line."

Patriots are losing Veterans Jerod Mayo and Vince Wilfork, who were leaders on the Patriots team, but they are getting a starter at SS with rookie Jonny Kohlhause only having upsides. also getting back a 1 year man Von Miller, who came out of last years draft as one of the top rookie prospects, but didn't have a fenominal year with only having 12 tackles 2 sacks and 2 ints. Coach Ares says that doesnt mean a thing and that he will make Miller a Top LB this year. They are also getting a Tackle, which is a promising young player that can become a starter but will mostly be a 2nd stringer, seeing as the Patriots O-line is set at the moment. they need in there depth chart with only having 8 O-lineman. And also get the Dolphins 2nd round draft pick of next year and Tommie Harris.

Patritos Lose: Jerod Mayo, Vince Wilfork
Gain: Von Miller, Tommie Harris, 2nd Round Draft Pick (Dolphins), Jonny Kohlhause

New England Patriots are now 3-0. After facing there toughest opponent yet, New England holds strong and gets the W. Score was 24-17. Patriots faced a tough team in the Chargers, and there offense and defense have been tested at a higher level. They were able to hold strong, but Coach Ares was not happy with how his entire team played

"We were sluggish out there, we are way better then a 24-17 score. Big props for the Chargers tho, they gave us a hell of a challenge. We need to keep on winning, crushing our opponenets like the past 2 weeks. But hey, a win is a win. Also, What the fuck is up with the rain guys? thats the 3rd game in the rain. Can we get a lil sunshine please?"

Patriots looking to start of the year 4-0, trying to beat out division rival Dolphins, should be a easy win for the explosive patriots.

After the patriots lose against the Giants, people thought the Patriots offense was starting to slow down, but now the after a crushing defeat of the Cowboys, Patriots seem to be in full swing again going 42-14. Patriots held out the cowboys scoreless until the final quarter.

Tom Brady didnt have to throw for much today but was 13 for 18 for 193 yards and 3 TDs for no INTs.

Nyjee Dyer ran hard today, he had 30 carries for 274 yards yet again *Breaking his old record of 272 yards*. He averaged 9.1 yards a carry and had 3 TD's.

Aaron Hernandez caught the ball 5 times for 118 yards for 2 TD's, all the other recievers caught 1 or 2 passes.

Defensively Pat Chung had 8 tackles today, the team came up with 3 sacks today with Miller, Cunningham, and Spikes coming up with one each. Devin McCourty and Rob Ninkovich had 1 INT each. Albert Haynesworth had a fumble recovery and pat chung had a FF.

Coach- Team played horrible last game, im glad we got it together now. Lets hope to keep winning. AND WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE WEATHER? We havent had a NON-rain game this season yet.

Patriots come out against the Bills and crush there hopes of winning the game before the 2nd quarter even ended, scoring 45 points in the 1st half. Bills would try to come back tho, ending the game with 31 points. final score, 45-31

Offensively Patriots did what they did, having the ball for 22 minutes in total.
Nyjee Dyer had any great day, not having to many big runs, but running hard. He now has 1000+ yards rushing in the season and has 16 rushing TD's. The young rookie is breaking Team records left and right. he has a bright future ahead of him.

Patriots offense didnt have to do much though, defense was the key in this game, Rookie LB Devonte Dickerson coming out with 4 total QB sacks. team had 6 sacks in total. we had 2 INTs ran back for TD's. 2 INTs in total. Patrick Chung coming up big, Forcing 3 Fumbles. Patriots had 4 in total. Rookie safety Jonny Kohlhausen(JK) ran one FF for a TD.

Coach: Great team effort, defense coming up big today, meaning all we had to do on offense was run the clock, which we did great having the ball for 80% of the game.

Media: You seemed to be starting out great and then turning your gears and slowing down, any particular reason?

Coach: Well i dont want my players to get hurt for stupid reasons like running up the score. Some of them would love to keep playing out there. As you can see, i got no injuries yet, and i plan on keeping it that way.

Media: So your 6-1 and your team seems to be one of the strongest squads out there, any superbowl predictions?

Coach: not at all, taking it game after game. my team looks at the superbowl like this: Superbowl? whats that?

Coach: Thanks for the questions, see you next week.

As you can see, Defense has decreased, Ranking wise, but thats mainly because of Head Coach Ares trying out a new scheme with new players, next year he expects his defense to come back again and be a top 5 defense. Offensive wise, they have remained a great passing team that knows how to spread the ball around with QB Tom Brady, but they have GREATLY improved there rushing attack, coming back from last year with having the WORST rushing attack in the league, to having a top 5 rushing attack with phenomenal rookie sensation Nyjee Dyer.

Coach Ares has now controlled the AFC East for 3 straight seasons, making the Playoffs each of his 3 seasons while rivals Jets, Dolphins, and Bills have yet to make there first Playoff appearance. Coach Ares looks towards progressing in the playoffs and hopefully get his 1st ring.

Patriots start off the season with a BANG!

that is a beat up bang, getting pummeled by the Chiefs. Patriots started off with a 3 and out and it didn't get much better then that afterwards. Other then some awful throws from Brady, rookie WR Lofton, had a spectacular debut catching 7 balls for 130 yards and 1 TD. he averaged 18.6 yards a catch and had a long 46 yard TD. 2nd year TE brooks also 3 catches for an amazing 106 yards, he averaged 35.3 yards a catch.

Defense didnt look all great, 2nd year DT man, taking over Albert Haynesworth duties from last year, ended with 2 sacks. Newly acquired MLB Dan Connor also got 1 INT. Other then that nothing.

This is the first time in the past 3 seasons that coach Ares isnt going to start with a better record then 3-0. First time since Ares lost the first game of the season, but no surprise here seeing as he was facing his bitter rival Dewser, who ares is 0-4 against now.

Next week comes coach bailey with the fins, always an interesting match up, ares has held the title of AFC East Champ for 4 seasons, will he lose it this year? who knows! so stick around as we give you weekly updates.

K. Dore 1 0.0 0 0
D. Connor 1 0.0 0 0

Patriots have come back from a tough defeat against the Chiefs and have said in order to continue success in being the top leading of the AFC East, we gotta continue this win streak. Currently the Dolphins are up 4-1, the 1 defeat coming from the patriots, while the patriots are 3-1. Though the patriots had an early BYE week, dolphins are racing towards the top, while the patriots are chasing another AFC East title.

Patriots fiery hot offense from last year has seemed to sizzle down this year, Brady throwing alot more picks, while patriots running alot less then last year. Patriots are rellying alot on rookie WR J.Lofton to making big catches/plays. It seems that Lofton is Brady's #1 target so far this season, seeing as his #1 target last year has been out with an injury since week 2, Brooks looks to come back in 1-2 weeks.

Patriots move on next to division rivals the Buffalo Bills, while already claiming dominance over the East by defeating Dolphins and the Jets, Patriots will look to be 3-0 in the division. Will the Patriots find that spark again from last year? Or will the defense have to keep making plays in order to keep the Patriots in it?

Stay tuned to find out!
