Getting caught up with the Arizona Cardinals heading towards the final stretch of the season, we get some insight as to development of the team from first year head coach Simil.

I would say we struggled quite a bit, specially at the beginning of the season, making all the pieces fit together. Making sure we are communicating our assignments and that everybody understands what is expected of them on each specific play. From a coaching standpoint it is out responsibility to put our players in a position to make plays and then its up to the players to execute. It has been a process, there is no denying that, I see our play improving as our players get more comfortable on this new scheme and as the coaching staff starts identifying what works best for our personnel. We have very high expectations of this defense.

On the offensive side of the ball we have to do a better job taking care of the football. Good football teams just dont give the ball away. We have been able to move the ball effectively throughout most of the season but we keep turning the ball over and that just deflates both an offense and a defense. It also puts our defense in very difficult situations. We have been actively working on ball security during training and on making smart decisions. We also, need to balance our game more, which has been the difficulty when we give up the lead early on the first half and we find ourselves playing from behind.

Our expectations for this season remain the same. We expect to make a run in the playoffs. We are two games behind the division leader and there is plenty of football to be played.

Tough division matchup between the 49ers and the Cardinals. The game started as a ground game battle on the first half. Both sides moving the ball effectively but slowly. The cardinals threw an early interception giving the 49ers good field position. The 49ers capitalized and scored. The cardinals were able to move the ball effectively on their two minute drill towards the end of the half and came away with 3 points.

Throughout the second half the Cardinals were able to contain the 49ers run game. HB B. Wells suffered an injury and HB Williams subbed in. Rookie HB R. Williams had a breakout game, consistently pushing the pile forward and breaking out into the backfield for big gains and 2 TD's. The 49ers were able to mobilize their offense on the 4th quarter but were unable to connect effectively with their receivers.

The Cardinals get an important division win in a close NFC west race. 27-14

The Cardinals come up with a gritty win against the Browns. The Cardinals received the ball on the first quarter and drove the ball down the field effectively to come away with 3 points. The Browns offense struggled to get anything going on the ground. The Cardinals defense and special teams were able to make big plays and open up the scoreboard. Peterson recovered a fumble for a touchdown, and a punt was fumbled and returned for a touchdown just before halftime. The Browns drove the ball down the field with less than a minute left to get 3 points on the board.

During the 3rd quarter the Browns offense was able to get into a rhythm behind the arm of Matt Ryan. He started moving the ball down the field almost at will. Couple offensive mistakes lead to interceptions. The Browns were able to score 7 points in the 3rd quarter. At the start of the 4th quarter the scoreboard opened up. The Browns came up with big plays on the passing game. Breakout Rookie HB R. Williams broke big runs for the Cardinals and scored 2 TD's to keep the lead. The Browns were down by 7 points with 53 seconds remaining in the game. Matt Ryan came up with a big pass play to tie the game and send it to overtime.

The Browns got the ball at the 20 on OT. The Cardinals defense make an important stand and force them to punt backed up near their own 10. The Cardinals field the punt near field goal range, they drive it down the 20 yardline and score the game winning field goal.

Final Score Cardinals 34-31 Browns
