Two words, one name, Cam.....Newton. The first overall pick in last year's NFL entry draft. The hopes and dreams of a city and a franchise. Is Cam the man who will lead the Panthers out of the NFL's basement and into the promised land. Out of arguably the toughest division in football? With heaps of pressure and expectations on his young but broad shoulders? Only time will tell. The Panther's management however, do firmly believe in Cam. They say he possesses all the tools that a NFL QB needs to succeed. Height, intelligence, arm strength, accuracy and even speed. He's the Heisman Trophy winner. He's a born winner. He's been able to win on all levels....so far. Critics say that he won't win in the NFL. It's too fast, it's too brutal, it's unforgiving. They say his passes aren't accurate enough. Opening weekend versus the Cardinals......we'll see what Cam can or can't do!

Season Ending Blog.

To say that the team was disappointed to lose in the NFC Championship is an understatement. Silence in the locker room, grown men shedding tears, dented lockers....the list goes on. Those players that were able and willing to speak, offered up some telling quotes. "We saved our worst game of the year for last". "We beat ourselves by trying to get too fancy". "They got a good ball club over there, but we'd love another shot at 'em". And probably the most telling quote of them all came from Coach Hittched himself, "I let my team down today, my play calling left a lot to be desired, I was out coached and out witted by a very good team, they deserve to go to the Super Bowl".

Some will say that the Panthers over achieved and didn't deserve to be here in the first place. But everyone in the organization will say that this team is on the rise. We have our franchise Quarterback in Cam Newton. We've got a solid young core of players on both sides of the ball and most importantly, we are hungry. This won't be the last time we see the Panthers this deep in the playoffs. After losing only one game during the regular season, coach Hittched has already said that one of the teams goals will be to go 16-0 next year. Wow!
