| By this time all League members should have received an email containing passwords and links to gain access to the Madden 12 Online Franchise, the Madden 12 Online Community and the Leaguemanager Instance of our Franchise. The emails were sent to the address that you provided when you registered on this site. If you do not check this email address regularly I suggest you update your profile and team application topic to one that you do and then private message me that you did. Obviously all members need to join the Online Franchise in Madden 12 and all members need to join Leaguemanager. So far very few of you have. There will be a cutoff date and anyone who misses it will be booted from the League.
We're at 28/32 teams accounted for. The Bills, Jags, Browns and Bears still need owners. The Pats and Colts are being held in reserve for two potential owners until tomorrow morning. If any of you have friends who would be interested in owning any of the aforementioned teams, please direct them to the site. Thanks.
Those of you who have registered on and joined the USSML instance of Leaguemanager will know that this years edition makes use of real life NFL salaries and the real life NFL salary cap. You will also know that a number of teams are well over the salary cap of 120 million. While a number of teams are well below the cap. For instance the Steelers are approximately 20M over, while the Buccs are approximately 30M under. Therefore the Steelers will have to cut their salary before the season begins, while the Buccs can go on a big spending spree, once I open Free Agency bidding. The good news is that I have the ability to make the salary cap whatever number we choose. The bad news is I want to keep it fair for all of our teams and owners. My initial thinking is to get the average salary of all our teams and use that as the salary cap. However this League is a democracy, so I'm open to any and all suggestions. We will probably take a poll to come up with what to do, when I get some suggestions. What does everyone think we should do? Please chime in.

| Okay so I did some research on the salary cap situation. As of today, all the real life NFL teams are under the hard cap of 120M. They have to be, they don't have a choice in the matter. Also the cap figures that we have access to on Leaguemanager are out of date. We can expect an up to date set of numbers before our season begins. It's pretty neat, because when looking at the real life cap numbers we can see which of our owners are gonna be big spenders when free agency opens up. This year there are some solid free agents. Check it out.
