Free Agency Rules

Those who have read the League Information thread will know that the USSML employs xtreme-football.net ( http://xtreme-football.net/index.php?r=site/page&view=features ) for most of our league functionality. Xtreme-Football intends to update their feature set so that we will be able to bid on free agents. However the league will start before that feature is installed.
To keep things fair, before the week one kick off teams will be allowed to sign free agents, but only in a specific order. That order is as follows.


1. Buffalo Bills - Adalius Thomas
2. St. Louis Rams - Shawn Springs
3. Cleveland Browns - Antonio Bryant
4. Denver Broncos - James Davis
5. Seattle Seahawks - Jake Grove
6. Arizona Cardinals - Troy Williamson
7. Detroit Lions - Jason Williams
8. Carolina Panthers - Cornelius Ingram
9. San Francisco 49ers - Adewale Ogunleye
10. Jacksonville Jaguars - Macho Harris
11. Washington Redskins - Nate Davis
12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Tye Hill (had to switch because his original pick of Ken Lucas did not exist in the FA list.)
13. Cincinnati Bengals - Mike Gandy
14. Oakland Raiders - Robert You
15. Miami Dolphins - Donald Thomas
16. Tennessee Titans - Daniel Frisch
17. Houston Texans - Jarvis Green
18. Kansas City Chiefs - Josh Barrett
19. Dallas Cowboys - Mike Brown
20. Chicago Bears - Kyan Forney
21. Minnesota Vikings - Willie Parker

This list is pretty much based on team overall from the week 9 roster update. Which is the roster for our online franchise. I've moved a few teams around though because overall doesn't always give a true picture of how strong a team is.






NOTE: When the Free Agency period opens up, all owners will be required to reply to this topic in the above order, with the name of the free agent they decide to pick up. Buffalo first, then St. Louis and so on ending with New England. When all teams have posted their choice I will update the main topic and teams will then be allowed to sign their Free Agent in the Online Franchise. If a team does not have an owner, the commissioner will make their pick.





After the Draft, teams will be allowed to sign one free agent per week, after it completes that week's game. Signings will be on a first come first serve basis until we can do them on xtreme-football.







The scrolling message bar at the top of the page will be used to announce what team is up to pick. The commissioner will personally contact any stragglers holding up the draft
